Boxing Day - 12/26/09

We spent the day after Christmas going to my sister's house so we could all spend some more time together and the cousins could play together some more. They ended up playing Wii a lot - a Mario Bros. game and Lego Rock Band they had a lot of fun. I got to see an awesome sunset from the front porch. We then went back to the house for smore's and hot chocolate around a fire.

Favorite Pictures "Christmas Morning"

We had our Christmas morning together on the 21st and we had a blast watching the kids open their gifts, having homemade cinnamon rolls, playing with toys, having a roaring fire in the fireplace and all the other yummy stuff that goes along with being with each other. Here's a couple of my favorite photos.

Jared's Polar Express school Christmas party - Dec.18

Jared had a Polar Express day at school today. All the kids got to wear their pajamas to school. Then we made hot chocolate with marshmallows and candy canes for them. They also got to eat 2 donuts with that. Then they made a jingle bell craft. Then they went to lunch, when they got back they watched The Polar Express and had cookies, popcorn, fruity pebble treats, and water. They even got a gift from the teacher and a treat bag from the class. Man, I don't remember doing anything like that when I was in school, but then again that was a million years ago and I may have forgotten!(lol)

Christmas at the Zoo - Dec 14th

Tonight we all went to Christmas at the Zoo. It was really cool to see the zoo all lit up. Our favorite by far was watching the Dolphin show from the underwater dome. Watching the power they have to get up out of the water, then watching them come crashing back towards you is just amazing. We also enjoyed watching the lights set to music in the water park, that was pretty cool. We also got to watch the bear having a scratch fest, the eel's swimming everywhere, the tiger trying it's best to hide from all the lights, the red panda trying to hide in a tree that had lost all of it's leaves, touch the dog sharks and actually see the snakes moving. Not a bad night at all!

Sydney's school Christmas party - Dec.14

This afternoon I got to attend and help at Sydney's Christmas party for her class. She got to decorate and eat a gingerbread man cookie, do a seek and find paper, and make a reindeer craft out of a flower pot. She seemed to have fun and I had fun helping her class and watching her with her class.

State House Field Trip - Dec.14

This morning I went on a field trip to the State House with Jared and the rest of the 4th graders at his school. The kids were pretty well behaved. They got the opportunity to sit in the gallery for the House of Representatives, sit in the Senators seats in the Senate, sit in the gallery at the Court of Appeals and learn all about when and how the State House was built. It was a pretty cool trip!

We woke up this morning to a surprise. SNOW! The kids were so excited they actually didn't give me a hard time getting ready for school, they just wanted to get outside and throw a snowball.

Our Christmas Tree

Some of the best things about our Christmas tree are all the ornaments we have made or the ones we bought on vacations over the last 18 years and the lights that shine so brightly on them. Pretty!

Fire Dept. Christmas Party - Dec. 5th

After the kids had eaten breakfast and all posed together for the 2009 photo, the older boys all went out in the hallway and played football with the stuffed dog they received from Santa! That seemed to be the highlight of the party for them.

Christmas Picture

We went to the Fire Dept. Christmas Brunch last weekend and we happened to be in the right place at the right time to have someone take a picture of the 4 of us. Hope everyone is having a wonderful season so far!

Sydney's Artwork

Sydney painted this picture at school, I really like it!She called it "The peaceful beach at Sunrise."

Kids with Santa

We went to the school pancake breakfast last week and the kids had their picture taken with Santa.
