Corn Maze - September 25th, 2010

While we were at the Orchard we went through the Corn Maze that was there.

 We took along a bag of caramel popcorn just in case we got lost (lol).

We tried to answer all the questions as we went through but not sure if we got all of them right.

I think we had fun going through it.

Animals at the Orchard - September 25, 2010

We stopped by the anmals at the Orchard, needless to say the kids weren't overly impressed. I think they are starting to out grow this kind of stuff. Where did all the time go, it was just yesterday they were little and loved all this stuff.

Apple Pickin' - September 25, 2010

We went to the Farm to pick Apples this afternoon. We got a whole bunch of Cortland's and Red Delicious. When we get them home we are going to make Apple Pies and Caramel Apples.

Youth Football Night at the High School - September 24, 2010

Mt. Vernon High School declared the Marauders home football game on Friday, September 24th to be Marauder Youth Football Night. What does this mean for Jared and Sydney? They get into the game for free and at half time they get to run down the field under the lights. It was fun for them and Jeff seemed to get a kick out of it and I got to see an awesome moon rise.

 

Reptilian adventure? - September 23, 2010

So....... I was in the garage getting ready to go get the kids from school and as I walked around the car to get into the driver's side there was a snake sitting in the garage staring at me. I quickly screamed and yelled "Jeffery". My knight in shining armor does he come running? No, all I got was "What?" Trying not to freak out I immediately forced him outside to look at the snake that was so terrifying. What does my knight say when he sees they slithering menace? "COOL! Where's the habitat so we can catch it and let the kids see it?" EEEeeewwww, Gross! But off he went and caught it and we put it in the habitat for the kids to see and then let it go in the backyard so that the snake can catch and eat all the icky stuff out there!  

Skatetime - September 23, 2010

Jared and Sydney got to skate during their P.E.time slot. They had a lot of fun. Thanks to the school for setting it up.

Jared Football Game Gold v Jaguars - September 18, 2010

Today the Gold team played the Jaguars from a different football club. We lost by 4 points. I had to leave half way through the game to take Syd to Cheer, but Jeff said they just wore us down. They would get a touchdown in 5 plays and it would take us 20. The boys were just plain tired. Bummer!

Jared's Football Game Gold v. Blue - September 15, 2010

Jared had a football game tonight against the blue team. We lost but only by 2 points. The boys seemed to be OK with it though, I know we were. Blue team so far seems to be the team to beat and we came close!

Sydney showed her brother some love by putting some Eye Black stickers on with the #12 written on them.

Jared played a good game. I think he was tired from a full day of school,but he held his own.

Swimming - September 12, 2010

Can you believe the kids are still playing in the pool in the middle of September? They are and they are still having a blast. Me, I'm looking forward to fall but I don't think we're going to have one at all the way the weather is looking. Bummer!

Cheer - September 11th, 2010

So we showed up all ready to cheer and as soon as it was show time it started to rain. The cheer coach sent everybody home and we would have gone home but Jared's football game didn't get cancelled. The football players played on through the rain so we stayed to watch.

Jared's team won again this week. Not by much, but they got the job done.Even with the rain coming down.

Jared got his first rush for 10 yards but didn't get a first down because it was 2nd down and 15 to go. Bummer!

Labor Day - September 5th, 2010

Jeff had to be at the firehouse on Labor Day and me and the kids were lucky enough to score an invite to hang out at a friends house pool for the day. They even let me show up with a cold, if that isn't family I don't know what is! The kids had a blast hanging out in the pool and in the playroom and I got to sit outside and try to sweat out some of my cold.

The kids attempted their own version of Wipeout and tried to run across the water.

Was a fun day even with a cold!
