April 30th, 2011 - Jared's 3rd soccer game.

Jared had an awesome day at soccer today. He could not have done it without his teammates. Team Poland won 8-2, we are kinda basking in it because we probably won't win the next 2 games so it was fun to win one.

He was forced to play goalie which he did a good job at ,don't know why he doesn't like it!??lol

April 30th, 2011 - Sydney's 3rd soccer game

Sydney played her 3rd soccer game this morning and the team did an awesome job.

Syd did some great defense and even got right up when she was squished by one of the big boys on the team. (LOL!)

To my best recollection the game tied at 3-3.

I personally am looking forward to watching a game without freezing my rear off.

April 28th, 2011 - Rain, rain go away.....

Today was a day of sun and rain, off and on all day. At one point we had both at the same time. We ran out to see if we could find a rainbow but we didn't see one. It still looked awfully pretty outside, all glistening from the rain.

April 24th, 2011 - Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter.

It could never be Easter without Easter Eggs, a basket and Peeps, so even though the kids rolled their eyes at me I still wanted to get them something.

We spent the morning at home and then headed to Grandpa Willie's and Grandma Georgie's to spend the rest of the day with the family.

Even though it was gray and rainy outside, the kids still spent most of their time outside They got pretty muddy and wet playing soccer and hiding eggs for the other kids that were there. 

I know J and Syd have had their fill of chocolate, ham, fried chicken, cookies, cakes, etc.

April 23rd, 2011 - Jared's Soccer Game

Jared's favorite time of the year - Soccer and Mud Puddles - LOL.

Jared's team did not win their game but J had a really good game.

April 23rd, 2011 - Sydney's Soccer Game

 Sydney's team won their game again this weekend 3-2!

She is having a blast playing defense.

This week was much warmer but the fields were pretty flooded, so the kids got to have some fun splashing in the mud puddles. 

April 19th, 2011 - More Storms

It was raining again and I thought I would leave the back door open so that I could listen to the rain while I was baking. Not five minutes into it lightening actually strikes the house behind us. The noise was so loud and the light was so bright that it freaked me out and had my heart racing and I actually ducked. Second time lightening has struck the houses surrounding us in as many years. Feeling very lucky! Only thing we had to deal with is the backyard becoming a creek!

April 17th, 2011 - Soccer and Spring

We finally had a nice day and we were able to get outside. The flowers are blooming and the blossoms are still in full bloom. Pretty!

   

The kids actually took time to kick a soccer ball around. Always fun to watch them!

April 16th, 2011 - Jared's Soccer Game

Jared's soccer team played their first game today. He scored a goal with an assist from his good friend, Kailee.

We didn't win the game but Jared was just lovin' playing.

April 16th, 2011 - Sydney's soccer game

Sydney's team, Team Sweden, played their first soccer game this morning.

It was freezing out but the kids did an awesome job. Syd just loves playing defense and she does a good job!

April 10th, 2011 - Spring has Sprung!

Spring is finally here and the trees are full of blossoms...

And the lawn mowing begins and the snakes come out.....EeeEEkkkk.

The kids and Jeff thought that they were cool and kept them for a little, before letting them go back home, which means they are still here. Yuck! (lol)

April 1st, 2011 - Long Drive Home - Spring Break 2011

We left Ocean Isle at 8:30am, we got home at 9:30 pm. LOng drive, we saw parts of North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, tiny part of Kentucky, Ohio and finally home to Indiana.

The best things we saw was probably Pilot Mountain.

Driving through the mountains in Virginia held some awesome views.

We went from sunshine to snow and back to sunshine it was pretty cool.

The kids did an awesome job on the drive, I think I did most of the whining. It's not fun sitting for 12 hours when you don't have a behind to speak of.

April 1st, 2011 - Saying goodbye to the beach - Spring Break 2011

Woke up this morning to see if the clouds had lifted enough to catch a sunrise while we were here. But we were out of luck! Still overcast.
