February 27, 2012 - Jared Basketball Game

Jared played another basketball game tonight, he did pretty good. The game was all over the place though. One minute we were up by 7, then down by 2, then tied then we lose by 3 (22-19). Oh well, we'll get them next time!

February 27th, 2012 - The Moon, Venus and Jupiter

The Moon, Venus and Jupiter all in a row. Should be able to see 5 planets in the sky on March 4. Not overly exciting but it doesn't happen very often and worth seeing.

February 25, 2012 - Jared's Soccer game

Jared played his last soccer game today. I didn't get to go because I went to Sydney's Basketball game but Jeff said he did an awesome job playing goalie and had some awesome moves but we couldn't pull off a win. We lost 2-5.

February 25th, 2012 - Sydney's Basketball Game

Sydney played her last regular season basketball game today and she did great even though she wasn't feeling so great. Her team won 16-13. Next stop playoffs and maybe championship game.

February 25th, 2012 - Jared's Basketball Game

Jared played really well today - scored 5 points and played some awesome defense. We lost 17-16 and it was a nail biting last two minutes. One of the boys on the other team actually broke his arm at the game by running into the wall, they were playing so hard to win.

February 18th, 2012 - Jared's Soccer Game

We finally tied a game! Go Jared. We tied 3-3. It felt really good after losing so much.

Jared made a goal and stopped a whole bunch of them as goalie.

February 18th, 2012 - Sydney's Basketball Game

Sydney's team played the Red team today. It was a tough game as the girls were fighting hard to win. We ended up winning 23-3. I guess the girls fought a little too hard.

Syd's team was supposed to play a double header today but the other team didn't show up so the girls played a pick-up game instead. They won that game too.

February 18, 2012 - Jared Basketball Game

Jared played a really good game of basketball today, and it showed. The team won 22-19!

February 14th, 2012 - Sydney's Valentine's Day Party

Sydney's class had a valentine's day party. They got to choose what was on the menu - glazed donuts, chocolate donuts, mini donuts, donut holes, Krispy Kremes, Strawberries, Chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate dip and strawberries, cookies, Hot chocolate and milk. They had at least 200 donuts, a huge amount of strawberries and a plate full of chocolate strawberries. Needless to say they had enough left over for breakfast.

They got to play a couple of games - seeing who can stack the most hearts and passing a cup to each other using a straw.

 

February 14th, 2012 - Jared's Valentine's Day Party

Jared really didn't have a party - they got to eat popcorn and drink water. What they did get to do was a community service project where they made knotted blankets for the Community North Oncology Unit. They all did a great job and made some good looking blankets.

February 11, 2012 - Jared's Soccer Game

So after 3 basketball games, we still had a soccer game to play/watch. Jared did a good job at goalie and scored a goal but the other team beat us 5-3. But even though we lost Jared still loved playing the game.

Sydney's Basketball Games - February 11, 2012

Sydney played a double header today.

First up was the green team which had a couple of Sydney's classmates on it, so she had fun going up against them. Sydney's team won 19-6. Go Sydney!

Second Game was against the black team. They were pretty tough. Sydney got the basket and the assist that helped win the game 19-16.

We lost again today 23-14. Jared's game was a little off today but he still played hard.

Well..... we lost the game today 18-31. The other team was really good had an excellent player! Jared was just fine with the loss, after all it doesn't really count until the playoffs, right?
